A quick card today...was inspired by Donna Mikasa...she is an amazing artist!! I have frequently seen her cards with gold embossed sentiments on CAS(E) this Sketch design team cards. I use gold on anniversaries and at Christmas...an occasional gold sentiment here and there. Now realizing that gold is so pretty...for ANYTIME:)!! I just got a new awesome stamp set from Reverse Confetti, God is Good, and used the biggest, longest sentiment which is a wonderful CS Lewis quote (and so profound!!) to make my card! Quick, simple but effective (so tough to photograph, but the gold embossing is very cool:)!!...
Love the shine for the "Shine" in the quote...thought the gold especially fit the quote...
The key to embossing with gold, whether on vellum or card stock, is to use a static bag that keeps embossing powder from sticking to other parts of the paper, rather than only on the sentiment...SO important!! Thanks for visiting me today!!
