The challenge at Less is More is to make a card using 3 shades of green. I made a couple...
I made this card with a stamp from Tim Holtz and the sentiment from Hero Arts(Big All Time Greetings) and three Stampin Up colors...Certainly Celery, Lucky Limeade, and Old Olive. I stamped the image, cut it out and cut into 3 pieces. I sponged each section and added sentiment.
The other card was inspired by a card that Jennifer Rzasa made using the same stamp with leaves using white instead of black and 4 shades of green...I thought it was beautiful!! Did you ever have it happen that you look at a card, and then a challenge comes, and THAT card pops into your head, and DOESN'T LEAVE?? Well, that's what happened here....mine is VERY different, and I love her white, but chose black...hmmm....
I stamped on glossy white with black ink both the leaves and sentiment, then cut into 3 pieces. I then sponged each section with the same colors as the first, but the glossy look of this paper is soooo pretty, to me...
The sentiment is Hero Arts(with Sympathy) and used my Papertrey Ink Impression plate(Linen/Canvas)
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Your sponging is perfect. How do you do that? (rhetorical question) :)
Great look! Sometimes I am really getting crazy that such styles are coming so perfect as you did.

Great job, Lisa! I love the glossy paper. It's amazing how the gloss changes the look of the sponging.
I just adore your card! You're right- the black really does lend a different look than the white that I used. I love the bold contrast! :)
