Sending Hugs

I got the My Favorite Things Sensational Stitched Flower Card Kit last month, stitched flower dies galore (24 dies to be precise!!)!  Well, me and flower dies...I...AM...IN...HEAVEN!!!  And if that wasn't enough, the kit came with a LARGE set of sentiment dies, All Ocassion Sentiments, and I chose to cut one apart and fit it to today's card...
I chose a darker red cardstock and a dark olive green for the flowers and stems, and paired them with a kraft colored card.  I layered the flowers 3 times, the white centers twice.  I also used the MFT Stamps Inside/Out Stitch Rectangle Stax die  to create a "frame".  I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment multiple times, so that when I applied my white embossing powder, it would coat really well:)!!  Here's a close up...
This card makes me happy!!  What incredible fun this set is!!  The set sold out quickly, but the wonderful news...be on the look out, it will be available in a future release(I read that on their site:)!)  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Thankful and Grateful

I LOVE the new Thankful and Grateful dies from Simon Says Stamp's Stamptember release!!  I knew when I saw them, I just had to have them!!  Today, I've got two simply made cards made by die cutting the sentiments from a 6x6 pack of patterned paper(the piece used for the sentiment was solid bronze color) that I got from Target while I was in Florida, and some white cardstock for the sentiment's background and for layering of the sentiments...
The background panel paper is also from the same 6x6 pad.  Here's a pic that I took...it was $3...lots of pretty foiled papers...
I layered both the sentiment and it's background.  Here's a close up...
Then, I did the same thing with the Grateful sentiment die and another piece of the patterned paper for the background...
What I love about these dies is 1. their size...they can be a stand alone on a card...the image and sentiment in one are large enough and have enough heft and size to be on their own.  2. These dies have not only  the sentiment but a background/outline, too!!  Having both allows you to die cut a sentiment that "matches" the background paper, without blending in...the sentiment stands out because it is separated from the paper by it's background/outline.  The stamped sentiment for this card is a cut sentiment from a retired Simon stamp set, From Us...but there is an inlinkz pic below of the set.  Here's a close up of this card...
I have an idea for another card using these dies, that I hope to show you in the next couple days...I am having SO MUCH FUN!!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Infinitely Grateful Greenery

I made a card to share with you today, made with one of the new My Favorite Things stamp/die sets, Geometric Greenery!  This set has amazing leaves filled with geometric designs and some very very cool sentiments...
You may remember that I just got back from Florida last week.  What I DIDN'T tell you is that my daughter lives 45 minutes away from My Favorite Things in Eustis Florida!!  We had made plans to go there almost daily while I was visiting her, but she is a teacher's assistant and works until 3pm every day.  MFT Stamps is open until 4pm, so it was impossible for us to get there before it closed.  She felt SO BAD...she made me PROMISE I would go there on my way home(well, it's not on my way home...home is North and this was Southwest), but I WENT!!  Noah was sleeping, so I left the car running when I got there, and ran in just for a couple minutes...
The store is AMAZING!!!!!!!! It is so pretty... and FILLED with so many wonderful things...oh....sigh... I am definitely going back the next time I visit my daughter, but going back to stay for A...LONG...TIME!!!!  One thing I was particularly excited about was that the Geometric Greenery stamp/die set was available...it had been sold out, on line...psych!!   This is a pic of the new release at the store...
I told the girl at the checkout, I needed to go, so I would have enough money to get home:):):)!!!  She did give me a wonderful pink bag for coming into the store...I had SO...MUCH...FUN, even though it was only for a few minutes!!!!!  But, "I'll be BACK!!"...
For this card, I simply used some Sharpie and Mark It markers...
I had so much fun coloring! Here's a  closeup...
Hope you are all having a great weekend!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Thank You...

Another card using the new YOU stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp's new Stamptember® release...have to say it again...LOVE this set!!
I simply combined the die and sentiment stamps with a pretty piece of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye (Fancy That, I've linked it below, so you could see what it looks like, but it's no longer available from Simon...purchased at Hobby Lobby)...such pretty paper!!  You COULD make this paper with some solid papers and some gold strips.  The card is 6"x4"...I wanted to get the full height of each of the 4 colors!  I glossy accented the "You"....here's a close up...
Oh yeah...such great fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

I Love You...

I LOVE this new set of stamps and die from Simon Says Stamp's Stamptember® release,  YOU ... they all combine for one amazing must have sets!!  I love the coordinating sentiments that go with this "You" die cut ...I will have another card to show you tomorrow using this set!!  But for today...
I stamped the background stamp with Simon Fog ink after masking with a piece of torn paper, then die cut and layered the "You".  I stamped and clear embossed the sentiments and added a layered, glossy accented heart on a silver thread hanging from the "Y".  Here's a close up...
OH...I am so happy to be back in my craft room...I am having SO...MUCH...FUN!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Fall Leaves Thinking of You

I traveled back to Virginia from Florida yesterday, and I got in late last night!  I had a bunch of new goodies waiting for me when I got home😊...and I hope to get in my craft room this morning, but I have one more card to share with you that I made with my leftover watercolor leaves from THIS card and THIS card...
I coupled the leaves together with a very old rubber stamp sentiment from Stampa Rosa(the date on the side said 1999!)...I just thought the wispiness and flow of the font went so perfectly with the leaves!!  Maybe there are some of you, like me, that have drawers of old rubber stamps that are just dieing for some "love"...check out your old stamps next time you're creating to see if you have an old stamp that would just go perfectly with what you're creating:)!!  Here's a close up of my leaves...
OK...time to go a little unpacking, then it's off to my "happy place", my craft room, to get creatin'....can't wait!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
