To Love Release!

There is a new release out today, over at Simon Says Stamp....To Love!!  It is filled with all things love and will be perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day!!  I have made a card with one of the new embossing folders and a sentiment die from a new die set!...
I embossed the folder on a piece of white cardstock.  I also die cut six hearts with the heart dies that come with the embossing folder.  I then ran the hearts through the embossing folder, to give them dimension.  I brushed color on the hearts and then layered them.  I adhered them to exact heart positioned on the embossed images, and added a die cut and layered sentiment in a kind of crazy way, like the hearts.  Here's a close up...
This is a really sweet release...more to come!!

Warmest Wishes

I have used the CZ Design Warmest Wishes stamp set, from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember® release (as well as being featured in the December Card Kit) , along with the CZ Design Joyeux Noel die to make a Christmas card...
I stamped the leaves, there are two leaf stamps, so I stamped them twice each.  I stamped the berries, two stamps of these, as well.  I added a die cut and layered sentiment from glossy cardstock, added some enamel dots, and popped up on a red embossed piece of glossy cardstock.  Here's a close up...
Simple stamping...such fun! A little stamping...a little bling...a little shine!

Whirl Fancy Leaf of Love

I have made a card that could be for Christmas...or after...made with a new die and sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember® release!
I die cut the leaves from white cardstock, and brushed on ink.  I die cut and layered the hearts.  Unfortunately...some of the larger hearts are from a larger set of Simon heart dies, which no longer appears available, I am sorry.  It was called Large Holiday Shapes, but I am pretty sure you can find other heart dies that will have 6 different sizes!  I die cut the top layer from red glossy matte cardstock.  I embossed the background after stamping the sentiment, and popped up the panel on a card.  Here's a close up...
Such fun, and who couldn't use a card to let them know they are loved?!  You could make the leaves white with the red hearts...for Valentine's Day?!  I think the possibilites are endless!!

Postage Collage Cover

I have made a couple cards with the cool new Simon Says Stamp Postage Collage C0ver die set, from their DieCember® release...
This card took a bit of doing, as I had to find snowflakes of the relative same size that fit in the rectangles of the die cut!  I layered the collage cover, as well as the snowflakes.  I adhered them to a scrap piece of pierced  cardstock that I had brushed ink onto.  I added a layered sentiment, die cut from gold matte for the top layer, and a vellum background.  Here's a close up...

The second card...to show the diversity of this cool die...
I used the die on a piece of patterned paper, and layered, using the rectangles from the first card for the layers!  I die cut and layered the sentiment and adhered all the pieces onto the card.  Here's a close up...
I had so much fun making these cards...the possibilities are endless!!

Grand Pixie Snowflake

I have made a Christmas card with a beautiful new Simon Says Stamp die from their DieCember® release!...
I die cut and layered this beauty, then used some sparkle embossing powder, to give the snowflake a little snowy look!  I did the same with the CZ Design sentiment die, and then adhered both to a panel made from a printed piece of paper, that I think looked like it would fit a snowflake!  Here's a closeup...
This card would be great for Christmas, but is also good for winter wishes, through the winter!

Whirl Bay Leaves

I have made a couple cards with the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp die from their DieCember® release...one a Christmas card, and the other...well, you'll see...

For this first one, I die cut the leaves from white cardstock, and brushed green inks on the leaves.  I added die cut flowers from another of the new die sets, also die cut from white cardstock, and colored with brushed on ink. I added enamel accents for the centers, and glossy accents for the dots between the leaves.  I added a die cut and layered CZ Design die from silver matte cardstock.  Here's a close up...

The second one....well...I have some thoughts...

When I originally made this card...from two whirl leaves, with brushed on color, I made it in the middle of November, when the leaves were in full Fall color, and before Thanksgiving.  I was not thinking that the DieCember® release would be coming out a couple days AFTER Thanksgiving, and in December...with Christmas on the mind.  So...above, you see the Fall/Thanksgiving version of the card.  THEN...I was talking to my daughter about my card, she had the idea to spritz some snow on the leaves.  I had never done that(that I can remember), and with a toothbrush, but I thought I would give it a try...

I'm not sure I love it, as I wish I had done some larger splatters, but I didn't hate it either.  I thought it fair for a first try.  I used another CZ Design sentiment, in gold matte, with the background of the sentiment in vellum.  Here's a close up....

I wonder which you like better??  If this card had come out in November...the first one would have been the only one I would have shown, but I think it so nice to think you can have so many looks with this beautiful die!!  NOTE:  I had to redo this post, as the original HTML messed up the layout of my blog.   Hope your December is not too crazy...deep breaths...deep breaths!!

DieCember® Party!

There's a party going on over at Simon Says Stamp's Blog today!   Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their awesome yearly December release, DieCember®!!  This is the release and month to celebrate dies and die cutting!
I have used two of the wonderful new dies from this amazing release, to make a Christmas card, as well as a birthday card!!  Dies with wonderful diversity!!...
I have used the Jolly Birdie and Rustic Nest from the new release, along with an embossing folder and die cut stamped sentiment from older releases.  I stamped the bird from white cardstock and colored him with markers, coloring to make him a bluebird.  I adhered him into the nest, and adhered to the embossed panel, with the stamped and die cut sentiment!   I then dotted the nest with white enamel accents, and sprinkled some sparkling snow glitter on the nest,   Here's a close up...

The second one, I made simply into a birthday card...
I used a CZ Design die for the happy birthday.  I die cut it in glossy black cardstock, and layered it.  I colored the bird the same as the first (I love bluebirds!), and added an older sentiment under the bird and nest, to tie it all together.  Here's a close up...
This is a party, and all the artists at the party are listed on the Simon Blog, so make sure you check out the Blog, to see who's at the party and where they are (blog, Facebook, Instagram...),  join the fun, and be a part of the party!!
