Candy Corn Halloween

It's exactly three months until Halloween...Simon Says Stamp has a fun die in their newest Cheering for You release, made to help you get ready for the candy filled day!!
The new Candy Corn border is a long die, so I opted to showcase the entire die on a slimline card!  You could cut it down, especially at certain points where the candy corn are whole, but using the sentiment I chose(and older Simon sentiment), using the entire border was perfect!!  Simply done, I used an off white for the top layer of the corn, and orange and yellow.  I layered the border, then adhered, with the layered sentiment!  Simply done...a bit of work to die cut, piece and layer both the border and the sentiment, but love the simple look that happened!  True Happyness!  Here's a closeup...
You'll be seeing a bunch more Halloween as well as Christmas as we cross from July to August! I am not sure how we are already going into August tomorrow, but, here we are!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Cheering for You Blog Hop Day 2!

I have been invited, along with some amazing artists, to celebrate Simon Says Stamp's newest release, Cheering for You, with a blog hop over at the Simon Blog!  This is such a wonderful new release, and I have used one of the sweet new stamp/die sets, Music, to make a couple cards to share with you today!...
I have always loved music...all kinds of music, so this set really spoke to me!  I chose to use the birthday sentiment along with the staff of hearts, so I made the staff of hearts multi colored/rainbow.  I set the staff against a black panel that I had embossed with one of the new embossing folders...kind of reminded me of record albums or even swirls of music.  I popped up the die cut music, as well as the die cut sentiment on the card, and used glossy accents to coat all the hearts.  Here's a closeup...

The second card, I used another stamp and sentiment from the set, as well as  another new embossing folder from the release...
I wanted this single note to really stand out, so I used versamark to stamp it, and black embossed it.  I die cut it, and layered it.  I stamped and colored the hearts of the sentiment, then die cut it.  I love these sentiment dies, and how they cut out the sentiments...makes them really stand out with all the cut outs around the sentiment...and the sentiments have such a cute font...LOVE!!  I used some patterned paper, then embossed it with the Bubble Rings folder.  I framed it with some glossy black cardstock.  I popped up the panel on the card and done!  Here are a couple close ups...
This one shows the glossy hearted musical note...
Okay...I had SO much fun making my cards!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!!

Bright Rainbow Squares

I have made a card with the cool new Simon Says Stamp Geo Me Trees die set, from the Cheering for You release!...
I know these are supposed to be tree dies...and I have an idea for a card using the die set as trees, but couldn't pass up the thought I had, to make six rainbow squares.  There are six spaces in the square, so die cutting one square in each of six rainbow colors and mixing up the colors in each of six squares just made so much sense.  I layereed the squares and popped them up on a black card. I added a layered sentiment die cut, and adhered to card.  I rounded the corners of the card, to go with the squares' rounded corners.  The card is a little longer than an A2 card, so I made an envelope for it...thus the purple underneath the card. Here's a close up...
There was a blog hop today, over at the Simon Blog, and there will be a second one tomorrow...there will be amazing inspiration...hoping you will hop along!!  Thanks for brightening my day, by stopping by my blog!   Hugs!! Lisa

Cheering for You Release!

There's a new release out, over at Simon Says Stamp...Cheering for You!!  I have made a couple cards with one of the wonderful new stencil sets, Sunflower Pattern...
This stencil set is sooooo cool!!  It has FIVE stencils, which make for some really pretty sunflowers!  I used the whole stencil, and when done, was able to cut the pattern in between a line of the flowers, to make TWO cards!!  This first one, used two thirds of the flowers, then I added a sentiment from a new stamp set, Music.  I layered the sentiment and popped the panel up on the card.  Here's a close up...

The second  card, I used the remaining three sunflowers ...
I framed the flowers with a brown frame, and used the same cardstock to die cut and layer the sentiment.  I adhered them to a scrap piece of impressioned cardstock.  Here's a close up...
This release is filled with SO MUCH FUN...hope you will check it out...a link below!!  There are also two blog hops...one tomorrow, the other on Saturday...over at the Simon Blog...hope you will "hop along" with us!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Divine Peony

A quick post with a clean and simple card I made with one of the beautiful dies from Simon Says Stamp's Sunny Vibes release!...
I die cut all the pieces of this peony flower and leaves from white cardstock, and brushed on ink to the white pieces.  The leaves were a bit of trial and error of colors...my suggestion is keep brushing until you get the shade of green on the leaves that you would like.  I added a sentiment from another stamp set, and some Nuvo jewel drops.  Here's a closeup...
I am having so much fun with Simon's flower dies...they make it so easy to make "divine" flowers!
Thanks so much for stopping by...new Simon release tomorrow, can't wait to share it with you!!

Lily Duo

I have made a card today, with one of the beautiful Simon Says Stamp dies, from their Sunny Vibes release!...
I am extremely partial to lilies...that's practically all I have in my flower garden.  I used to have over 50 rose bushes, but the older I have gotten, the more I have liked flower that are not only beautiful (and some lilies actually smell pretty!), but that don't require much care...lilies are it!  My roses have died away over the years,  and the lilies have replaced them and flourished.  I have some deep red ones, that are mostly red...so that is the one that I tried to kind of mimic for my card.  I brushed ink onto the white die cuts, making the stamen a bit darker, and adhered them together.  I added them to a card with sentiment and added some glossy accent dots that I made, and then colored with a marker of the same color as the flower.  Here's a close up...
Having fun in my craftroom...there's a new release coming this week over at Simon ...such fun coming!!

Bold Botanical Daisy

I have made a card with a beautiful new stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp's  Sunny Vibes release...
The stamp/die set is a Simon Says Stamp collaboration with Tim Holtz!  I LOVED the daisy stamp, so I stamped with black ink, then colored the middle with a yellow marker, and highlighted the petals with light gray.  I used the rectangular die, and cut a window out of my card panel.  I used an older sentiment stamp from the Floral Garden stamp set, amd popped up the panel on the card.  Here's a close up...
Ohhhh....a simple daisy is just lovely to me!!  Hope you are having a great week...keep on keeping on!

Gracious Flowers August Card Kit

I used the beautiful die set from the kit, aptly called Beautiful Buttercup die, along with one of the sentiments from the stamp set that named the card kit, Graceful Flowers!  I brushed on ink to the flowers and stems.  When putting the flowers together, I added some glue dots rolled, to make them a little thicker, to give the flowers some dimension.  I adhered them to the panel, with the stamped sentiment, then added some colored dots for some bling.  Super simple, but these flowers and sentiment are perfectly enough...to me!  Here's a close up...
Hope you will check out this card kit, over at Simon, and maybe consider a subscription to these wonderful card kits...it's such fun to have a kit delivered to you each month with all the supplies you need to make a beautiful card(s) inside a wonderful box! The cost is also reduced, if you subscribe!  The link to sign up for subscription is below, the second link!
My daughter and granddaughter were in town visiting us, for the last couple weeks...we had a great time...I love having my house filled with family!  It is so quiet and a bit lonely, now, but I will have lots of time to get back in my craftroom and have fun of a different kind!  Hope you have a great day!!
Thanks so much, for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
