Sweetheart Box

I have made a box of sweets for Valentine's Day!  I used a cute new die from Simon Says Stamp's
I die cut the box from an older piece of 12x12 cardstock from my stash.  The die makes a box bigger than a 6x6 paper will accommodate, so even though I had a lot of pads of patterned paper, they were too small.  I did want a printed piece of paper, so happy to have found a large piece of heart filled paper for this project.  I then die cut a window from the box with one of the hearts from the set, and adhered a piece of acetate over the inside of the window.  I adhered all the sides of the box together, filled the box with Valentine's Day candy(peanut M&M's), and tied a ribbon around the box.  I added layered x's and o's in the corner of the box.
Here's kind of a side view...
Here's a close up of the window and sentiment...

What great fun!  I have had this adorable box done since before Christmas, but had no valentine's candy to put in it at Christmas time....one month from tomorrow...the day of love!

To Be Loved Blog Hop- Day 2!

I'm part of the Simon Says Stamp Day 2 Blog Hop today, over at the Simon Blog, celebrating Simon Says Stamp's newest release, To Be Loved!  You may see some products from their late December release, To Love, in the hop, also!  I have made a card using one of the wonderful new stamp sets, as well a background stamp, both from the To Be Loved release!
From the moment I saw this set, I knew exactly how I wanted to color it...dark letters(I used a dark cool gray), and pastel flowers..I think this stamp is soooo stinkin' pretty!!  I cut it out, and popped it up on a scalloped panel onto which I stamped two of the sentiments from the stamp set, one above, and one below the "HUGS".  I used a piece of violet cardstock for a colored background, and stamped the stamp with ink, then popped up the scalloped panel onto the violet paneled card.  Here's a close up...

Okay...I had SO much fun making my card!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!

To Be Loved Release!

There's a new release over at Simon Says Stamp...right in time for Valentine's Day...To Be Loved Release!  I have made a card with one of the cool new dies, and embossing folders!...
I die cut and layered the sentiment, and adhered it to it's border die cut.  I embossed the cardstock, and then brushed it with red in...LOVBE how it has some intensity of color at the highest of embossing points!  I adhered the sentiment, and then, adding a bit of bling, added three die cut and layered hearts.  Here's a close up...
Hope you will check out the Simon website to see this new release, and there will be two blog hops, tomorrow and Saturday, at the Simon Blog, to celebrate this new release, with lots of inspiration!  I hope you will hop along...see you there!
Thanks for stopping by, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Outline Hearts

I used the sweet Simon Says Stamp Outline Hearts stamp and stencil, from their To Love release, to make a couple cards filled with love...
I stamped the hearts, then used four different colors of ink, for the four stencils.  I loved the colors and couldn't bear to cut the panel down too much, so I made a 6x6 card.  I made the envelope for the card with my envelope maker.  I die cut and layered the sentiment, and adhered to the middle of the card.  Here's a close up...

Then, I made a card with more traditional pinks and red...
I used one of the hearts from the pieces that I had cut off, to hand cut and pop up in the "o" of the "love" of the sentiment.  Here's a close up...
Making these cards was so much fun!!  Having a stamp, and then stenciling in the stamped images is so much fun!!  Can never have enough cards with love as their theme!

A Holiday Thank You

I needed a thank you card, so I used a die from the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember® release, along with a Simon embossing/die set.
I diie cut and layered the sentiment, and then die cut embossed and colored the sprig.  I adhered the sprig to the embossed panel, right over the embossed sprig on the panel, and fit the sentiment around the sprig.  I popped it all up on a red paneled card.  Here's a close up...
Hope you are having a great start to the New Year!!  Speaking of new, there will be a new release over at Simon Says Stamp in a couple days...stay tuned!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
