Cheering for You Blog Hop Day 2!

I have been invited, along with some amazing artists, to celebrate Simon Says Stamp's newest release, Cheering for You!  This is such a wonderful new release, and I have used one of the sweet new stamp/die sets, Music, to make a couple cards to share with you today!...
I have always loved music...all kinds of music, so this set really spoke to me!  I chose to use the birthday sentiment along with the staff of hearts, so I made the staff of hearts multi colored/rainbow.  I set the staff against a black panel that I had embossed with one of the new embossing folders...kind of reminded me of record albums or even swirls of music.  I popped up the die cut music, as well as the die cut sentiment on the card, and used glossy accents to coat all the hearts.  Here's a closeup...

The second card, I used another stamp and sentiment from the set, as well as  another new embossing folder from the release...
I wanted this single note to really stand out, so I used versamark to stamp it, and black embossed it.  I die cut it, and layered it.  I stamped and colored the hearts of the sentiment, then die cut it.  I love these sentiment dies, and how they cut out the sentiments...makes them really stand out with all the cut outs around the sentiment...and the sentiments have such a cute font...LOVE!!  I used some patterned paper, then embossed it with the Bubble Rings folder.  I framed it with some glossy black cardstock.  I popped up the panel on the card and done!  Here are a couple close ups...
This one shows the glossy hearted musical note...
Okay...I had SO much fun making my cards!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!!

Bright Rainbow Squares

I have made a card with the cool new Simon Says Stamp Geo Me Trees die set, from the Cheering for You release!...
I know these are supposed to be tree dies...and I have an idea for a card using the die set as trees, but couldn't pass up the thought I had, to make six rainbow squares.  There are six spaces in the square, so die cutting one square in each of six rainbow colors and mixing up the colors in each of six squares just made so much sense.  I layereed the squares and popped them up on a black card. I added a layered sentiment die cut, and adhered to card.  I rounded the corners of the card, to go with the squares' rounded corners.  The card is a little longer than an A2 card, so I made an envelope for it...thus the purple underneath the card. Here's a close up...
There was a blog hop today, over at the Simon Blog, and there will be a second one tomorrow...there will be amazing inspiration...hoping you will hop along!!  Thanks for brightening my day, by stopping by my blog!   Hugs!! Lisa

Cheering for You Release!

There's a new release out, over at Simon Says Stamp...Cheering for You!!  I have made a couple cards with one of the wonderful new stencil sets, Sunflower Pattern...
This stencil set is sooooo cool!!  It has FIVE stencils, which make for some really pretty sunflowers!  I used the whole stencil, and when done, was able to cut the pattern in between a line of the flowers, to make TWO cards!!  This first one, used two thirds of the flowers, then I added a sentiment from a new stamp set, Music.  I layered the sentiment and popped the panel up on the card.  Here's a close up...

The second  card, I used the remaining three sunflowers ...
I framed the flowers with a brown frame, and used the same cardstock to die cut and layer the sentiment.  I adhered them to a scrap piece of impressioned cardstock.  Here's a close up...
This release is filled with SO MUCH FUN...hope you will check it out...a link below!!  There are also two blog hops...one tomorrow, the other on Saturday...over at the Simon Blog...hope you will "hop along" with us!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Divine Peony

A quick post with a clean and simple card I made with one of the beautiful dies from Simon Says Stamp's Sunny Vibes release!...
I die cut all the pieces of this peony flower and leaves from white cardstock, and brushed on ink to the white pieces.  The leaves were a bit of trial and error of colors...my suggestion is keep brushing until you get the shade of green on the leaves that you would like.  I added a sentiment from another stamp set, and some Nuvo jewel drops.  Here's a closeup...
I am having so much fun with Simon's flower dies...they make it so easy to make "divine" flowers!
Thanks so much for stopping by...new Simon release tomorrow, can't wait to share it with you!!

Lily Duo

I have made a card today, with one of the beautiful Simon Says Stamp dies, from their Sunny Vibes release!...
I am extremely partial to lilies...that's practically all I have in my flower garden.  I used to have over 50 rose bushes, but the older I have gotten, the more I have liked flower that are not only beautiful (and some lilies actually smell pretty!), but that don't require much care...lilies are it!  My roses have died away over the years,  and the lilies have replaced them and flourished.  I have some deep red ones, that are mostly red...so that is the one that I tried to kind of mimic for my card.  I brushed ink onto the white die cuts, making the stamen a bit darker, and adhered them together.  I added them to a card with sentiment and added some glossy accent dots that I made, and then colored with a marker of the same color as the flower.  Here's a close up...
Having fun in my craftroom...there's a new release coming this week over at Simon ...such fun coming!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Bold Botanical Daisy

I have made a card with a beautiful new stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp's  Sunny Vibes release...
The stamp/die set is a Simon Says Stamp collaboration with Tim Holtz!  I LOVED the daisy stamp, so I stamped with black ink, then colored the middle with a yellow marker, and highlighted the petals with light gray.  I used the rectangular die, and cut a window out of my card panel.  I used an older sentiment stamp from the Floral Garden stamp set, amd popped up the panel on the card.  Here's a close up...
Ohhhh....a simple daisy is just lovely to me!!  Hope you are having a great week...keep on keeping on!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Gracious Flowers August Card Kit

I used the beautiful die set from the kit, aptly called Beautiful Buttercup die, along with one of the sentiments from the stamp set that named the card kit, Graceful Flowers!  I brushed on ink to the flowers and stems.  When putting the flowers together, I added some glue dots rolled, to make them a little thicker, to give the flowers some dimension.  I adhered them to the panel, with the stamped sentiment, then added some colored dots for some bling.  Super simple, but these flowers and sentiment are perfectly enough...to me!  Here's a close up...
Hope you will check out this card kit, over at Simon, and maybe consider a subscription to these wonderful card kits...it's such fun to have a kit delivered to you each month with all the supplies you need to make a beautiful card(s) inside a wonderful box! The cost is also reduced, if you subscribe!  The link to sign up for subscription is below, the second link!
My daughter and granddaughter were in town visiting us, for the last couple weeks...we had a great time...I love having my house filled with family!  It is so quiet and a bit lonely, now, but I will have lots of time to get back in my craftroom and have fun of a different kind!  Hope you have a great day!!
Thanks so much, for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Floral Wreath

I have used another of the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp dies, from their newest Sunny Vibes release, to make a card, today!...
I was kind of smitten with the packaging that this die came in...the colors that were chosen to show the die, on the packaging.  They were soft colors, and for a wreath, not your typical colors...I LOVED it!  So, I attempted to copy the color scheme as best I could.  I die cut, and assembled the wreath, and added a sentiment in the middle, along with some tonic drops, on a light kraft colored piece of paper, and popped up on card.  Here's a closeup...
I had so much fun putting this one together, and although my colors may not be exactly what the package's  are, they are pretty close, and I love them!!  Hope you have had a great weekend...see you in July!!

Lily of the Valley

I have used one of the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp dies, today. from their new Sunny Vibes release, along with one of the new sentiment stamp sets from this release, to make a card
to share with you today...
When growing up, my parents had Lily of the Valley all over the back of our house...and it spread SO much by the time I got older.  It has the most beautiful scent...have always loved how they smell!  Sadly, I have tried to grow them at my house, knowing how easily they grew when I was little, but have failed to be able to keep them alive.  I'm thinking they like a more moderate climate like Buffalo, as opposed to Southern Virginia?! In any event, I now have a beautiful die to be able to enjoy them in paper form, and this die is so beautifullu realistic!  I die cut both the flowers and the leaves from white cardstock.  I colored the leaves with a marker and then adhered the white flowers to the colored stems.  I adhered the flowersn and stems to the panel of patterned paper (I LOVE this paper, and thought it went so perfectly with the green of the paper).  I added a sentiment stamped with versamark and white embossed. I layered it with a piece of textured gold cardstock to frame the patterned paper, and then onto a card.    Here's a close up...
This card was easy and simple, but just goes to show, with the right die and some pretty paper, simply done is it!!  Hope you are having a great weekend!!

Repeating Rainbows

I have used the fun new Simon Says Stamp Repeating Rainbows die from their new Sunny Vibes release, to make a rainbow filled card...
This die cuts with the frame and the largest ring of the rainbow all one piece.  That means that the frame would have been pink.  I, however, opted to make the frame white.  So, I cut out the die with a white piece of cardstock and cut off all the rings.  I then adhered the white frame to the pink frame/rings.  I then die cut the die in the four other colors, and adhered the multi colored rings to the panel that had adhesive all over it.  I added the panel to a card,  I added a die cut and layered sentiment, and added some enamel accents. Here's a close up...
This release has so much fun in it!!  I hope that tomorrow will have some fun and bright moments for you!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Sunny Vibes Blog Hop Day 1!

The Simon Says Stamp Sunny Vibes Release is being celebrated today at the Simon Says Stamp Blog, and at the blogs of a bunch of wonderful artists, I am so thankful to be a part of it!  This release is FILLED with so much wonderful sunshine and happiness, and I couldn't think of a more perfect way to celebrate, than to make a card with a rainbow!  Rainbows, are of course, a result of rain, but also sunshine, and I love rainbows, so this was perfect for me!  The sweet new stencil set that I used is BIG, so I was able to make TWO cards, using one side of the rainbow for each one of the two cards!  I also used two of the wonderful new sentiment dies, each of which was PERFECT with the rainbow!
I used a bunch of inks (and they are listed below), but this was SO MUCH FUN!!  I used a full sheet of cardstock, to make sure it was big enough.  I stenciled all the colors, then cut it down, and added a die cut and layered sentiment.  Here's a close up...

The second one, I used the other half...
For this half, I cut the white top and bottom off the rainbow, and lined it up on a piece of light gray cardstock.  I thought that the rainbow would go even better with the gray background than with the white, given the sentiment...that on a gray day, the rainbow would make the day bright!
Here's a close up...
Okay...I had SO much fun making my colorful rainbow cards!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!!

Rainbows and Butterflies

There is a wonderful brand new release over at Simon Says Stamp, this morning, Sunny Vibes!  I have made a card with an adorably sweet stamp/die set from this new release!...
I stamped, die cut, colored, layered, and popped up the rainbow of butterflies on the card.  I love that this set has dies for the sentiments, as well as the images!  So...I stamped and die cut, layered, then popped up the sentiments on the card, as well.  I added some glitter to the bodies of the butterflies for some bling, and added a sole purple butterfly to give the color of the rainbow the full scope of colors.
Here's a close up...
I hope you will check out this new release over at Simon, and check back here tomorrow, and tomorrow as well as Saturday over at the Simon blog for two blog hops!!  Such great fun!!

Thanks Framed

I have made a couple cards with the Simon Says Stamp A7 Nesting Frames Dies, from the
I used three different colors of greens for one card, and three blues for the other.  I die cut the whole set of dies, still connected to one another for each piece of colored cardstock. I adhered the frames to a partially cut, die cut, which I had put runner adhesive all over.   I layered the finished frames, and popped it up on a 5 x 7 card.  I added the die cut and layered sentiment from the set.  Below, are pictures of both cards...
I also made some envelopes for each card, as I don't typically have such envelopes for the typical cards I make...
Okay, not the typical cards you could make with these dies, a frame over some flowers, or such, but so much fun!!  Hope you have had a great start to this new week...new release this week, on Thursday, over at Simon, hope you will check it out!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Simon Says Stamp July 2024 Card Kit

I have made a couple cards with the fun new Simon Says Stamp July 2024 Card Kit, Sunny Smiles!
The cards are both the same, except for color, but I wanted to give you the couple ideas I had to do with three of the image stamps and a sentiment stamp, from this cool and very fun stamp set in this card kit!  For this first one, I opted to make a rainbow of the top tier of the sunshine.  I taped off the piece(s) next to each piece of the tier I was stamping.  I then used a couple different shades of yellow for the bottom two tiers.  I stamped the sentiment in black and then added some glitter dots for some bling!
 Here's a close up...
The second one...total sun!...
I used two different shades of yellow for the top tier, alternating the light and dark.  I used a third shade of yellow for the middle tier and two shades of orange for the half circle...stamping one orange over the other.  I stamped the sentiment( I LOVE the font of this sentiment!), and added some glossy accents dots.  I used my markers to color the dots, before adhering to the card, to match the sun.  Here's a close up...
I hope you will check out this July kit...it's one that truly brings on the sunshine, smiles... and happy!!
Just to let you know, too, the Simon Card Kits offer a monthly subscription for their card kits!  This is a cool idea, especially for those who like to have all their necessary supplies for cards right in front of you.  Stamps, paper, dies, other accessories...it's really nice to have it all there in a box, sent to you every month!  Maybe that's for you?  The links are below if you're interested.  In any event...sunshine and smiles to you, today!!
