LOVING WHITE!!

I recently purchased a set of Hero Arts cling sentiments.  I have to tell you, though,  I seem to be a season or two behind...I discovered that this set has been discontinued...I don't get out much!!  BUT, I am a stickler with my sentiments...I think they MAKE a card, so I just HAD to have them, and hope if YOU like them, you'll be able to find them?! I am SO LOVING WHITE cards this Christmas, too...got a couple die cuts from my container from last year, and made a couple Christmas cards...
I used a super heavy weight cardstock from Simon and popped up both the panels on the same heavy weight card stock.
If you like these sentiments, I have linked a couple places that have a couple sets left...super easy quick and I think, pretty Christmas cards:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Stitched Trees and Hearts

LOVE the new Simon Line and Outline Shape dies...HAVE to have them together...the two layers are SO COOL together...
Used the tree dies and one layered heart with a Simon sentiment.  I used  a die from the Stitched Slopes and Hills dies...thought it PERFECT with the stitched trees.  I also used embossing pasted to add some snow as a background...hard to see, but here's a bit of a sideways view...
Then I used the hearts from both die sets, used the same sentiment, and a stitched rectangular frame from Lil Inker Designs...again...perfect with the stitched hearts...
Until tomorrow...FUNNNNNNNN!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

One of a Kind

I LOVE the Lawn Fawn snowflake dies!!  I had a bunch of layered blue ones on my desk, paired them with a sweet sentiment from Lil Inkers(a stamp set that's GREAT for snowflake cards!!)...a simple snowflake card...

Nativity...Then and Now

The Nativity stamp and die set from Simon is beautiful!!  I love the images of Mary, Joseph and Jesus!  I thought it would look pretty with a stained glass kind of look.
I stamped on heavy weight vellum with black ink and clear embossed.  I turned the image over, colored with markers and cut out.  I layered on heavy weight paper, adhering with a vellum adhesive.  For the stable, I die cut in wood veneer and stained with Frayed Burlap distress ink and layered with
a couple layers of chipboard.  I used a  sentiment from another Christmas set from Simon for the front, stamped on speckled cream colored paper, and on the inside, I used one of the sentiments from the Nativity set that I thought went perfectly in font and meaning...
Then I had a thought!  I believe that the baby Jesus grew up, became a man, and died on the cross for my sins.  He is no longer in that manger.  What if I made another stable, this time with straw, but empty...using the same wonderful/powerful sentiment from the inside of the first card for the main sentiment...
I am having so much fun creating with all these new Simon products...the possibilities are endless!!
Just so you know, I haven't forgotten about videos...I'm getting closer(although by the time I get there, you all will probably have figured out all the things you have questioned me about...)...and I will be having a giveaway...SOON...so check back with me:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Piles of Gifts!

There are a couple sweet gift dies from the STAMPtember® Simon Says Stamp release, I showed you the Brilliant Gifts die back at the end of October.  Today, I wanted you show you a couple cards using the other cool gift die...Pile of Gifts die...one done with Christmas colors...one a Birthday card...
I used metallic paper for both cards(all papers from Michael's)...what a difference color can make...
I die cut the pile of gifts die on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of card stock...making it a template, and used that to place all the pieces onto the cards, adhering them into their perfect places!  The sentiments are also from Simon from a couple of small sentiment stamp sets.  Simple...simply done...FUN, FUN, FUN!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
