Shine On Blog Hop~Day 1!

I am so thrilled to be a part of Simon Says Stamp's Hop, today, over at the Simon Says Stamp Blog, celebrating their newest release, Shine On!  Along with a wonderful and uber talented group of designers, today is a day to showcase all the wonderful new Simon products from this new release!  I have used one of the new flower dies...yes, my favorite, a daisy, and made a couple CAS birthday cards to share with you, today!...
For both my cards, I chose to frame them...I'm liking frames these days, and Simon is making so many wonderful frames, so making cards with frames is a no brainer!  This first one, the frame is, along with the daisy die, from the new release, too!  I used two of the frame dies, adhered together with removable tape, die cut three frames, and layered them together.  I die cut the daisy, and colored the stem by brushing on a couple green colored inks.  I used a yellow ink for the center, then adhered the whole thing to a light gray texured, and  die cut panel and card, the same shape as the frame.  This die set is for A7 sized cards, but the size I die cut for the card, fits PERFECTLY into an A2 envelope!  Here's a close up...

The second one is white on white...even simpler than the first...super CAS...and makes me super and simply happy!...
I used a frame die from the last Simon release,  Always There !  I die cut it, like the earlier, from two frames taped together.  I adhered three together for depth.  The sentiments are from two different stamp sets...so important, and a bit challenging, at times, to find one that has the right font and fits in the space perfectly...but I did!!  Here's a close up...
Okay...as I always like to say, I had SO much fun making my cards...I just love  daisies!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!

Simon is generously giving a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from our comment sections, so the more hop blogs you comment on, the more chances you will have to win!  Winners will be chosen and posted on the Simon Blog, please check the Simon Blog after the hops, to see if you are a winner!!  If you are a winner, you can email Simon to claim your prize!
The list of participants in today's hop are listed below...
Just to let you know...as you read in the title of this post, this is day 1 of 2 blog hops, celebrating this release!  SO...there will be another blog hop tomorrow...and that gives you not only more projects with wonderful inspiration, but also more chances to win one of the $25 coupons from Simon!  Hope you will hop along and join the fun and inspiration! ALSO...don't forget the offer in the banner at the top of the post!  You will automatically receive the *not yet released* Deco Blossoms stamp set, when you make any purchase from the Shine On release/collection!  The offer is only good until the end of the day on June 28th, while supplies last, so don't wait!  Thank you so much for stopping by and "keep hopping"...hugs!

  4. The arch makes the flower EXTRA SPECIAL. I don't know what it is about arches, but I love them. Maybe it reminds me of Rome...
