So happy to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop, joining some amazing artists, to celebrate Simon's newest release, Hello Beautiful! I have made a couple cards, using two of the beautiful flower filled stamp/die sets from this wonderful new release...
This first card, I used the lovely Lavender stamp/ die set. I colored the flowers and the watering can, die cut, and popped them up on a white panel that I had die cut with the new Chunky A2 Scalloped Rectangle dies (I LOVE these dies, I have used them on almost every card I have made with the new release!!), and stamped a sentiment from the set under the watering can. I stamped the beautiful new Botanical Split Background stamp with white ink on gray cardstock.
Here's a close up...
The second one, I was going for a different look than the first...
For this card, I used the pretty new Sketch Iris stamp/die set! When I first looked at the iris stamp, I saw the lines in these irises as a kind of stained glass, so I colored the spaces with single solid colors, using different shades of purple markers. I popped the die cut flowers on a white panel using the same die cuts as the first, and a sentiment from the set that I stamped and cut out. I also used the same background stamp as the first card, stamping with purple ink. Here's a close up...
I had so much fun making both these cards, there's fun for you below!
