United We Craft Blog Party!

I am joining a whole bunch of artists, today, over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog, to celebrate the craft we all love...cardmaking!!  In light of our world and country situation, there has never been a better time to send a card!  Having all the supplies and ability to bring happiness and hugs through a piece of paper is a real blessing!  I hope you be inspired, in a time where many of us feel helpless to do much, that we can bring hope through the cards that we make and give to others!
I have made three pretty simple cards to share with you today, all using the Simon Says Stamp dies and a simple "thinking of you" stamp...
This first one, I used the Simon Leafy Square and Blooming wave dies in combo to add flowers to the leaf die. On all my cards, I used paint chips for the colored die cut pieces.   I used the You Matter background stamp.  Here's a close up...
The second one, I used the Simon Sweet Tulip and Woodgrain Block dies...
I used two of the woodgrain blocks, put together, and then cut out around the outside edges to make the wood look like a tree.  This die is SO COOL for that!  Here's a close up...
The third one, I simply used the Simon Cupid's Heart Border with my paint chips and that wonderful sentiment that I have used on all three cards, from Simon's Healing Hugs stamp set...
Here's a close up...
Before I go...here's something that was sent to me...from my daughter who lives 10 minutes away, but who I have only seen from a distance or on FaceTime for the last number of weeks...
I love sloths...so my daughter, Emma made a sloth from my grandbaby Gabriel's  handprint.  She  added the painted branches, leaves and face, put it in a card, and sent it to me. She gave credit to  pinterest...but how cool and wonderful is this??!!  I was crying when I got this... it made my heart soooooo happy!!  My creative and artistic daughter!!  I miss my babies...
HANG IN THERE.. hoping today's party will perhaps inspire you to make a card or two to bring happiness to someone's day, letting them know you are thinking of them during these times!
Stay safe...we are going to get through this!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

    1. Hi Ingrid! Because I had made three cards, and the party was so big, I didn't go into much detail on my post about how I made my cards. I get the frames so thick by adhering two or three of them together with a fine tipped bottle filled with glossy accents to make a layered die cut frame, flower, heart. hope this helps a little...:)
