If you are following the hop, you should have arrived here from the creative
Suzy Plantamura's blog!
I have decided to use the cool and super fun new Hexagon Element die to make three cards to share with you today!...
This first one, I used patterned and textured cardstock to fill in the layered hexagons! I thought the black, gray and kraft combo was cool, and hexagons are cool, so I varied the designs around the die. I also used the very cool Thanks frame die for my sentiment! Here's a close up...
The second one, much like the first, a layered die, I filled with watercolored hexagons...
I brushed a rainbow of ink over watercolor paper that I had embossed the hexagon image on. This made it really easy to know where to brush each of the colors. Then, I actually die cut the die from the embossed image, and voila, I have ready made watercolored hexagons! I then added some Tonic Jewel drops to random hexagons. I used the same "thanks" die, this time is white...thought it looked cool! Here's a close up...
The third one was actually the very first one I made, I thought simply embossing the Hexagon filled image was cool....
For this one, I embossed the die onto a card panel, using an extra piece of paper on top of the die, to give it a little extra depth when it went through my Big Shot...I have to say I just love the look of this die, and love it embossed!! I then took the same "thanks as on the other two cards, and die cut it from a rainbow of colored papers that I had adhered together. I added some Tonic drops on the top and bottom for added interest, and an added sentiment from the Big Thanks Words! Here's a close up...
My fun is above, yours is below!!
