Big Happy...Made into a Rainbow Birthday!

I used the new Simon Says Stamp's Big Happy and Diamond Pattern dies from their new Friendly Frolic collection, along with the two of the balloons from the older Celebration Time die set, and made a birthday card...rainbow set against black...
I cut strips of eight different colors of cardstock, adhered them on a slight slant on a thinner piece of cardstock and die cut the "Happy" from those strips.  I layered it with 3 layers of black cardstock, and die cut and layered balloons in 6 of the 8 colored cardstocks.  I die cut the Diamond Pattern full card die.  I stamped and embossed the "birthday" part of a happy birthday sentiment...it fit PERFECTLY between the grids of the diamonds:):)!!  I  die cut the diamonds a second time, adhered it to the one with the stamped sentiment,  and adhered those two layers to a full card sized piece of black card stock, then onto a card.  I then adhered the die cut sentiment, floss, and balloons to the card.  Love the depth of the diamond pattern, and how it gives dimension to the card, but doesn't overpower it.  I also chose to put the "birthday" where I did, as the white sentiment balanced with the white floss of the balloons.  Here's a close up...
and here's a close up of the sentiments...
I don't have to tell you...but I will, anyways...Rainbows and Birthdays...my heart is happy!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

    1. I used my Tombow tape runner and covered the rectangular piece of thin cardsttock with the tape, then laid the strips over the taped area...hope that makes sense:)!
