Thanks Card Cards

There are so many wonderful stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember® release that came out last week...I HAVE to show you a few ways I used the Thanks card die along with some tree and leaf stamp/die sets to make a couple Fall cards and an everyday flower card...I'M IN SERIOUS LOVE...
I used the Thanks card die on wood veneer paper (sort of like a tree) with some of the new leaf stamps and dies from Simon...these leaves are so realistic looking!!  I stamped with the solid leaf stamp in yellow then the detailed stamp in orange...orange then red detail on top....and yellow with green detail on top, layering the Thanks card AND the leaves...I had to use my stamp-a-ma-jig to make the stamping of the two layered leaves perfect...

I then used some kraft paper for the Thanks Card die with some of the Scribble Tree stamps and dies.  I used some Love Potion #9, spraying on the inked stamp...giving the trees(the red, orange and yellow) a splattered look...LOVED

This third card was created with an idea I had to sponge the sentiment and make it dark and then clear emboss after inking it with versa mark...oh what fun I had!!...along with the thought of a flower on the card.  I  used the small tree stamp and die from above, and made the tree into flower petals.  I used the swirl design from another new Simon Set: Thanksgiving Table for the flower's center, staamped then cut out...
How to make the black sentiment?  I used my eclipse tape to tape off around the sentiment and then sponged the polka dotted sentiment with black ink.  I then took an old versamark pad(one that already had ink stains...does anyone else have one like that??) and patted it over the blackened sentiment...with it being a bit dirty, it doesn't matter if it gets a little dirtier...right?...and then put clear embossing powder over it, heated it.  I then put MORE embossing powder over the just heated sentiment and heated it a couple more times to give it a super glossy look...
Layered the flower's petals AND the Thanks card die cuts...I had SO MUCH FUN...these stamps and dies are a BLAST to play with!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
