I made this card for OLW47...One Layer Wednesday...to make a card using one sheet of paper. The challenge this week, is hosted by Jennifer Styles, here: http://stylesink.ca/2011/03/29/one-layer-wednesday-47-sketch-o-mania/
This was the sketch:
And this is the card I made:
I made this card using a stamp from Hero Arts, the background from Papertrey Ink. This challenge, because it was square, took some measuring, and although perhaps not perfect...close enough:)! I stamped the background with a 2 1/4" square piece of paper centered taped with removable tape in the middle. I then stamped the flowers with the sentiment, embossed and colored. Added a yellow rhinestone...I thought it made it look happy.
I failed at this challenge numerous times...not centered....not a good stamp....stamping background not in line....this card is a product of a failure.
I was getting a bit frustrated, so I took an already stamped card, used the back and decided to stamp the back. Well....I liked the results, only I don't know what I was thinking, but I thought the ribbon around the flowers were leaves, so I colored them green. Didn't like the green, and knew it wouldn't do for the challenge, anyway, so I cut it down a bit on each side and popped up on a white card. I like it popped up...
things I used:
Papertrey Ink cardstock, stamps:Hero Arts and Papertrey Ink Background Basics Tin Type, Ink:stazon black, daffodil delight, old olive, certainly celery, sharpie blue markers, Extras: clear embossing powder, yellow rhinestones, pop up dots, stamp a ma jig, ruler
Thanks for looking , I hope you have a really great day!!!
