Love to the Ends of the Rainbow!

I have used a fun new Simon Says Stamp stamp set to make a clean andsimple card celebrating St. Patrick's Day and love!..
I stamped the sentiment in black and cut it out with scissors.  I had tried stamping the sentiment in green, and on another try, stamped with versamark and  black embosed the sentiment, but liked the plain black stamped sentiment best.  I colored the clovers green and dotted the horseshoe with my jelly pen,  I stamped the rainbow and pot of gold, and colored with markers, adding more jelly pen for the gold. I added one of the sentiments from the set below the rainbow, and then popped the "Love U" sentiment at the top of the card.  Here's a closeup...

Pearlized Angularium

I have made a couple birthday cards using the new CZ Design Angularium Cling stamp from Simon Says Stamp's newest Be Creative release, with some ink,  pearlized spray, and some birthday sentiment dies...
These cards were actually experimental, as I had never tried this before...what fun!  On a whim, I  used some old Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist(Perfect Pearl) I have had for a long time, and sprayed it on the stamp after I had inked it up with several different blue ink pads.  I think you can get the same mist affect by adding perfect pearls powder to water, using a misting bottle.  I have included links to those below.  I then stamped the stamp onto my cardstock and let it dry. The look on this card is a bit abstract...my daughters thought it was cool!   I cut it down, and added a die cut and layered Simon Happy Birthday sentiment, which I then took my Jelly Roll pen and then my Wink of Stella brush marker over...to give it some shine like the paper.  Here's a close up...
The second card a bit darker and the lines a little less muted...
I used two blue inks and a green ink on this card, and a silver die cut and layered sentiment. I stamped this one three different times This card still has a shiny look, but not nearly as abstract as the first.  Here's a close up...
Pictures don't do justice to the shine...what super fun I had!  Not sure I'm any good at it, but it was fun, and it's good to branch out sometimes and try something new!!

Grateful Parallelograms

I have used two of the cool new Simon Says Stamp from their newest Be Creative release, to make a card of gratitude...
I stamped the background stamp in my MISTI with Simon Fog ink.  I then colored the parallelograms with markers.  I put the colored cardstock back into my MISTI, stamped with versamark,  and black embossed.  I also stamped the sentiment with versamark and black embossed, as well.  I layered the sentiment and popped up the colored panel on the card.  Here's a close up...
I had so much fun coloring all the parallelograms...hope you have found some fun today!
Thanks for coming by, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Bunch of Balloons

I have made a card with a really wonderful new Simon Says Stamp cling stamp, Bunch of Balloons, from their latest release, Be Creative...
This stamp did bring out the "creative" in me!  I wanted to color all these balloons with blending brushes, but knew I would have to "color outside the lines"...until...I got the idea to make a stencil!  I used a piece of Simon acetate, stamped the balloon images onto the acetate, and cut out one of the full balloon images on the acetate.  Rub away all the black ink, and voila...balloon stencil!...
To make the balloons on the card, I put the cardstock in my MISTI, stamped with Fog ink, and then brushed colored inks onto the stamped images through my stencil.  I then put the cardstock back into the MISTI and stamped the image again, this time with versamrk.  I then white embossed the images, and now had white outlines and strings!  I added an older Simon Says Stamp sentiment die, layered.  Here's a closee up...
This was not just fun...it was a blast!  Hope your week is starting out great, and hope you make some time to...be creative😊!

Be Creative Blog Hop!

I am so happy to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop Day 1, along with so many talented artists, celebrating Simon Says Stamp's newest release, Be Creative!  I have used one of the wonderful new stamp/die/stencil sets, along with two new sentiment dies, to make three cards to share with you for the celebration!...
For the first two cards, I have used the new Fantastic Flower stencils to brush color onto the cardstock for the leaves, the stamps to stamp the stems for the leaves, the flowers and their centers, and the dies to die cut the leaves and flowers.  This is a wonderful set, and so much fun to create with!  My cards are simply made, but this set does simple so wonderfully!  I stamped the branches with versamark and silver embossed.  I used one of the new sentiment dies from the Greetings Trio, die cut and layered.  Here's a close up...

The second one, a different layout, and different color for the leaves, flowers, stem, as well as a different sentiment...
Here's a close up...

For the third card, I used the other set of leaves in this set...
I stenciled the leaves, stamped the branches, then put the stencil back over the leaves.  I used Tonic Glitter paste and spread it over the leaves...for some sparkle!  I used a sentiment from the Picnic Floral Sentiments stamp set.  Here's a closeup...
The possibilities with this set are endless!!  I had SO much fun making my cards..now it's your turn for some fun!

Be Creative Release!

I have a card to share with you today, from Simon Says Stamp's newest release, Be Creative, just out today!...
I have used a very cool new stencil, Brush Strokes, and a wonderful sentiment stamp from CZ Design's new Big Old Birthday stamp set!  I brushed on the seven different colored inks close to one another, stamped the sentiment over the inks with versamark, and black embossed.  I decided to add a couple tiny black hearts, die cut from glossy black cardstock and layered.  I framed the panel in black cardstock and it wound up being the perfect size for a small mini slimline card.  I had Simon envelopes for mini slimlines and thought the yellow one perfect!  Here's a close up...
This was so...much...fun!!!  I hope you will check out the Simon Blog tomorrow and Saturday for TWO blog hops, celebrating this new release...I can't wait!!

Swoopy Flowers

I have two cards that I made with the Simon Says Stamp Swoopy Flowers stamp/stencil/die sets, from the Kisses release...
For both cards, I stamped the flower stamp with Simon Fog ink  while in my Misti.  For both cards, I then used the stencil and brushed Simon ink, this one Cheeky ink, to the flowers and leaves.  Then I put the paper with the colored flowers back into my MISTI, brushed it with the static bag, stamped the stamp with versamark, and on this one, used gold embossing powder.  I brushed Cheeky ink lightly onto an A2 piece of cardstock.   I adhered a popped up die cut heart panel on the inked panel, which I had stamped in versamark and gold embossed, a Simon sentiment stamp.  I layered the flowers once, and adhered them to the die cut panel. Here's a close up(sorry about the pics...gold is soooo hard to photograph!)...

The second one, much like the first, but the flowers are done with black outline, and black stamped sentiment...
I love this set of stamps, dies and stencil. There is no stencil for the little flower and leaves, though, but no worries...I made my own stencil!  I used a piece of acetate.  I stamped the small flower and leaves on the acetate with black ink, and then carefully hand cut them out.  I then made sure I wiped any remaining black ink from the acetate, and then brushed more Heather ink through my new stencil, onto the Fog inked flower and leaves from my MISTI, like the other flowers and leaves.  When I was done with brushing on the ink, I put the images back in my misti and stamped with black ink, then die cut.  I used an oval die for this card, then stamped another Simon sentiment onto the very lightly ink brushed panel.  Here's a close up...
I just had such trouble getting these cards on my blog yesterday.  Truth be told, the first one had a revamp of the sentiment from a layered die cut(tried in FIVE different colors) to eventually a stamped one, and photographed 50 times(still not happy with the pics)...you ever have one of these kind of cards??  It was a trying couple days, but...Belated Happy Valentine's Day...love is everyday, anyway?!  Hope you had a "love"ly day!!
Thanks for stopping by, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Wood Block Stamp Wednesday!

As I had mentioned in earlier posts, I am in the process of revamping my craftroom.  In the only closet of the room, are plastic drawers FULL of wood block rubber stamps...the stamps I began this journey with, and have hung on to all these last 20+ years!  As I went through the drawers, I fell in love with them all over again, seeing them all for the first time in years, and remembering all the fun I had had stamping with them.  I thought maybe on occasional Wednesdays, I would make a card with my wood block stamps, and call it Wood Block Stamp Wednesday.  I used an old PSX stamp from 1995 to start the fun...
I'm not sure what the name of this stamp is, I like Bucket of Tulips, but HERE is a link to ebay's list of the auctions for this stamp...just in case you may be interested.  I stamped with black ink, colored with red, green and gray markers, cut down and popped up on card.
The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp set, Anna's Flowers.  Here's a close up...
Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday...Thanks so much for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Printmaking Postage

I have used the sweet new Simon Says Stamp Printmaking Postage stamp/die set, from the Kisses release, to make a card...
I stamped the total images of all the stamps in my MISTI with Simon fog ink.  I then went about coloring all the stamp images with markers...went for a more pastel color palette.  After I had them all colored, I put the colored cardstock back into my MISTI, rubbed the images with my magic bag(anti static), stamped with versamark, and white embossed.  I then die cut the images.  I put a pop up adhesive on the back of each stamp, and adhered to a panel that had been stamped with one of the sweet sentiments from the set, and the panel die cut with an older(but still available) postage stamp rectangle die.  I popped that up over a black die cut postage rectangle, then onto the card.  Here's a close up...
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend...peace and happiness, please be safe!
