You Are Loved!

I used the very cool new Simon Says Stamp wood You are Loved stamp, from the new All the Feels release, to make a couple cards...
Simon has come out with a few new wood mounted rubber stamps in this release.  Using a wood mounted stamp feels very retro and has been lots of fun!  I used the Simon Layering Hearts stencils and a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks to make a background, then stamped the You Are Loved with versamark and black embossed.  I used a sentiment from a CZ Design sentiment set under the You Are Loved.  Here's a close up...
Then, I opted for a very simple and light pinks slimline card...
I stamped the sentiment with Simon Fog ink while keeping an adhered die cut sentiment of the You Are Loved sentiment die, in the middle of the card stock.  What I DO think is especially cool about this wood mounted stamp, is that it is exactly like the You are Loved die!!  So cool to be able to coordinate them!  I stamped one sentiment  above, and one below with the stamp.  Then I die cut the sentiment with three shades of paint chips, and layered.  I added some Tonic Jewel drops and popped up and adhered to a pink paneled card.  Here's a close up...
I can't think of a person, right now, that couldn't use a little reminder that they are loved...

Floral Garden

Today I have a couple mini slimline cards to show you, made with the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Floral Garden stamp, from the new All the Feels release...
These cards are pretty simple in their design.  The complicated or more involved part in constructing them,  came in the hand cutting of both sets of flowers, with scissors.   The flowers perfectly separate down the middle, and used each of the two images on separate cards.
I hand cut around the outside flowers of the image, colored, and popped it up on a mini slimline card.  I added one of the sentiments from the set, and some Tonic Jewel drops.  Here are a couple close ups...
And yet another close up...
The second one, much like the first, except I went a little more "pastel" with my colors...
I again used another of the wonderful sentiments from the set, and some more Tonic Jewel drops!  Here's a close up...
And another close up...
Hope your weekend has been amazing...it's on to the last week in March!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Hugs!! Lisa

All the Feels Blog Hop!

I'm joining some amazing artists, today, to celebrate Simon Says Stamp's newest release, All the Feels, over at the Simon Blog!   This amazing release is chocked full all the feel stamps and dies, and I have chosen to use the absolutely adorable Bear Hugs die to make a couple cards to share with you today...
When I first started putting the die cut pieces from this set together, there were two things that I felt these bears had to have.  The mama/papa bear and baby bear had to be looking at each other(and a sentiment, of course, would have to follow).  The other was that the baby bear must be noticeably in front of the mama/papa bear, so the baby bear needed to be popped out a bit.   I opted to use two of the new sentiments from the Bouquet for Mom stamp set, on my first card (loved them with these images), making it a Mother's Day card.  The background was made with the Simon Layering Hearts stencil and some distress oxide ink.  Here's a close up...

The second card, I  chose a slightly different layout and theme...
I used a single sentiment on this card, from the new XL Greetings 2 (there are lots of amazing sentiments in this set!).  What I loved about this sentiment, is that this card could be from a mom/dad (although, maybe just me, I think it kind of looks like a mama bear) to child/grandchild even, OR it could be from a daughter or son/grandchild TO a mom/dad! With them looking at one another, and a simple "I love You", it could be used either way...I like that, too!!  I used an older Simon stencil for the background, sponging on cotton candy colored ink.  I used a black marker to color either the tops or the bottoms of the bears eyes to have them looking at one another.  Here's a close up of these two...
I had so much fun making both these cards, there's fun for you below!
Simon will be generously giving a $25 coupon to one commenter from every stop on the hop, so leaving a comment on each blog will increase your chances of winning!  The winners will be chosen by Simon, and the winner's names will be posted on the Simon Say Stamp Blog on Wednesday, March 31st, so make sure you check the Simon blog on the 31st, to see if you are a winner!

All the Feels Release Day!

Simon Says Stamp has come out with a new release, today, All the Feels!  It is aptly named, as it is filled with lots of "feelings" stamps and dies!!  I have used the sweet Mother's Day Flowers, which is simply wonderful,  to make three cards for Mother's Day...
All three cards were simply and easily made, and that's one of the things so wonderful about this die...it is great as a stand-alone die on a card!  On this first one, I die cut and layered the sentiment and flowers from patterned papers, adhered the layers, and then adhered to a white base with circles from a Simon Stencil.  Here's a close up...

The second one, I opted for daisies with a black sparkly sentiment!...
I made the flowers into multi-petaled daisies, and used a new Simon stencil for the background with some distress oxide ink!  I went over the white cardstock once with the ink, then put the stencil on the cardstock, and inked the circles on.  I used my Wink of Stella glitter brush to put some glitter on the sentiment.  Here's a close up...
The third one, I went for some sunflowers...
I used the big center dot for the flowers, for the smaller flowers, and used the center of thte "o" in Mother's for the big sunflower. I used the new polka dotted stencil from the release with some white pigment ink, for the background.  Here's a close up...
Hope you will check out this new release...so much fun!!  There will be blog hops over at the Simon Blog tomorrow and Saturday...hope you will join in the fun, and check out the inspiration!!
Thank you so much for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

An Incomplete Rainbow

I've made a slimline card with the adorable new Simon Says Stamp Bitty Birdhouse die set, from the Hello Beautiful release...
I wanted a rainbow of birdhouses, but what that looked like took some doing...and die cutting.  I originally made a blue house, but opted to leave it out and simply put the sentiment in its place...thought with no house and the "miss you" with the blue heart in it's place...would all kind of make sense.  I figured I'd explain it in the card when I send it,  just in case I was too in my head when I put this together!  Here were my options for color choices...
1.  Rainbow houses, roofs, and door rims...
2.  Rainbow houses and door rims, with all black roofs...
3.  Rainbow houses with black roofs and white door rims...
4.  Rainbow houses and roofs, with white door rims...
So, I settled on number 4...it made me feel the happiest!  Also, I turned the hangers around, after I looked at the packaging...the bow is supposed to be ON the birdhouse roof 😄!  I popped them up on a card panel that I had embossed with the Simon I Like Big Dots stencil.  I die cut a heart for the "o" in the sentiment, to kind of give love to the missing person/house.  I dotted with Tonic Jewel drops and popped up on slimline card.  Here's a close up...
I hope there is love and happiness where you are, today!!  Noah and I are doing well, love and happiness of family and friends, even though at a distance is everything to us!

Hoppy Easter!

I used the new Simon Says Stamp Carrot die from their Hello Beautiful release, to make an Easter card...
I used a variety of patterned paper for the carrots.  I die cut the pieces, then adhered them to an embossed, hand cut carrot that had adhesive all over it...
Then I popped them up with a new sentiment strip, over an orange panel that I had stamped a bunch of bunnies, from the adorable, older Simon stamp set, Oh Bunny!  Added a few Tonic jewel drops...and done!  Here's a close up...
Hope all is well in your part of the world... and that you are having a great weekend!

Thinking of You Blooms

I have made a mini slimline card with the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Blooming Meadow stamp/die set, from the new Hello Beautiful release...
I stamped, die cut, and colored the flowers and leaves with a light yellow, purple, and green Prismacolor marker.  I popped up on a panel with a stamped sentiment from the Inside Friendship Messages stamp set. I added some tonic jewel drops and popped up on a card with a piece of patterned paper. My card wound up being 6"x3"...a quarter inch shorter than I had originally made, so that I could use a 6"x6" piece of patterned paper for the background.  Hmmm....might need more longer pads of patterned papers to accomodate these slightly longer cards.  Used one of the wonderful new Simon mini slimline envelopes for my card!  Here's a close up...
Hope you are having a great day...be safe!!

Sending Sunshine

I've made a card with the My Favorite Things Sunflower Sweetheart stamp/die set...
I had thought this stamp/die set was so so cute for a long time, but getting both the stamps and dies together was really hard....one or the other would keep going out of stock.  I love the images AND the sentiments...both very cute and super sweet!!
I stamped, die cut, colored, and adhered all the pieces onto a die cut scalloped rectangle with my much loved Simon die, stamped with one of the set's sentiments.  Here's a close up of the card...
So happy I finally got to make a card with this set....feeling sunshine and happiness...happy Sunday to you!!

Bunny Love

I've made three cards with the adorable new Simon Says Stamp Bunny Blessings stamp/die set, from Simon's newest Hello Beautiful release!...
I think these bunnies are so adorable!!  I used my MISTI,  and adhered all the images I wanted to use in the MISTI, stamping and clear embossing them all at once, and stamped three rounds of images.  I did this because I wasn't sure about the colors I would use, and also not sure if I would die cut the images just right, so I had backup images for both cases.  I used my exacto finger knife to cut around this bunny's paw, to hold the flower.  I thought of Ferdinand the bull with this bunny...sniffing the flowers, so I had to put a flower in his paw!  I popped up the images and used my FAVORITE new scalloped die, also from the Hello Beautiful release, for him, his flowers, and the sentiment to sit on!  I think I have used this scallop die on almost every card I have made, of late...I just LOVE the look of it!!  Here's a close up...
The second one, I colored a bit lighter than the first, and used the same sentiment as the first....heart shaped bubbles, how could you not??....
I love how a piece of patterned paper can complete the look of a very simply designed card!!  The Prismacolor marker for the bubbles was a sky blue, but looked like a pretty purple...funny how that works out!!  Here's a close up ....

The third one is actually the first one I made...weeks ago(took me weeks to try my hand at coloring again after the first one), he is the lightest gray of the three...
I thought the sentiment fit right into the leaves of the carrot, and the bunny seemed to be looking down at it, so Happy Easter it was for this guy!   I know these are such simple cards, I LOVE simplicity, and these cute bunnies and the sweet sentiments don't need much more!  Here's a close up...
