Tickle Breeze Thank Yous

I used the pretty and fun new Simon Says Stamp Tickle Breeze die to make a couple cards...ahhh yes...rainbows...
I used some Doodlebug papers that I had put together in rainbow strips, adhered them to the back of a double layered panel, and then added a Thank You from the Simon Bouquet of Thanks stamp set.  Simplicity...sweet simplicity!!  Here's a close up...
Then, I did the same thing in black, adding a strip of striped cardstock at the very bottom to change the look a bit...
I DID have to stamp the sentiment with versa mark and then white emboss.  Here's a close up...
I just can't stand how much I love rainbows, and this die shows them off so sweetly...such fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Today is a BIG DAY

I've made a card using the Simon Says Stamp's Mosaic Star die and Big Day dies ...
I colored an embossed mosaic star with markers...I LOVE that you can be messy and color outside the lines...once it's under a die cut star, the outside-the-lines doesn't show...yay!!  OK...the big question...do you see raised embossed or a negative(looks like the opposite side of an embossed die)embossed image??...
It depends on when I look at it.  The first time it was embossed, which it IS...but then subsequent times, it LOOKS sunken in.  WEIRD!!!!  A photo that messes with the mind!!  Does it do that with you???  I layered the gray panel a second time underneath for some depth, then adhered the marker colored star under the panel.  I added the sentiment die, that I had die cut in white, then masked and colored with black marker and then layered.  Here's a close up...
I think it's kind of a handsome card...loved coloring all those little mosaic pieces rather than fill with die cut pieces, which is what I normally do...fun card!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

It Takes a Big Heart...

I LOVE the sentiments in the new Simon Says Stamp set, Thank You Teacher, from the Encouraging Words release!!  The sentiments, made up of sweet sayings and quotes, are wonderful!!  I used one of them to make an encouraging card for a teacher...
I used some patterned paper for the background of the heart, stamped with versa mark and white embossed with the Simon Tiny Alphabets background stamp .  I die cut the heart with one of the Simon Wonky Heart dies, then layered.  I stamped the sentiment with versa mark also, and white embossed, on chalkboard cardstock.  I thought of chalking it up some, but my clean and simple ways liked the solid super dark black background of the cardstock much better!!
Ok...a card for a big hearted teacher...what teacher doesn't need some encouragement, right??!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Pink, Orange, Black Thanks

The sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch is SIMPLY COOL!! I could simply not resist a literal interpretation of the sketch with my card today!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I LOVE the color combo of Pink, Orange and Black!!  I used pink and orange cardstock, that I cut in various widths and weaved together at their intersections.  I DID emboss the whole card so it had some texture, then added a cool die cut Thanks from Simon Says Stamp, that I layered and glossy accented.  Here's a close up...
Simply done...simply fun!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Three Thank Yous

I think, besides Happy Birthday cards, thank you cards are a staple of card making!!  I pulled out the super fun and classic Simon Says Stamp On Edge Thank You die, and combined it with some pretty patterned paper,  to make a trio of die cut thank you cards...
I used some floral patterned paper that I purchased at ACMoore and die cut the sentiment from each standard sized card panel...
...then cut away the die cut "remains", and this is what you're left with...
I DID find that masking the sentiment to make it a "STAND OUT" color was really hard, unless the color was a dark brown.  I tried to color with white ink, then coat with a different colored ink, the only thing that happened was that the colored ink turned white!!!  I decided, then, to use craft paint, masking the sentiment and with a paint brush, painted the sentiment instead of inking it a different color.  I DID layer each of the sentiments 3 layers thick and used pop up dots for the panels to give depth and interest to an otherwise very simple card.  Here's a pic of all my die cut sentiments before I cut them apart and adhered them together...

Here are pics of each of the three cards...

Kind  of cool how you can make cards that look so different with the same die and same paper!!  SUCH FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

You're a Star Gift Tag

I used the Simon Says Stamp You're a Star die to make a "starry"  tag/card for my gift bag!...
I die cut the sentiment and stars several times from silver cardstock and adhered them together.  I also used the Simon Says Stamp Space Journey die for a couple extra, slightly different shaped stars.  I dotted a die cut star with silver pen and adhered the stars and sentiment to the star.  I went over all of them with my wink of stella glitter brush.  I added the star to a die cut card, and tied the star to the bag with some silver ribbon. Here's a close up...it was hard to photograph the glitter...the second star from the top shows it best...
On this day of the first coast-to-coast solar eclipse since 1918, I thought it cool to share something "solar" related 😊😊!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Sending Hugs Trail of Flowers

I hope you are all having an amazing August!!  The card I made today, is one that uses a couple older Memory Box dies.  These dies are TIMELESS, and so is the sentiment that is with them...
Somehow, this Memory Box Botanical Stem escaped me when it first came out, I JUST got it...notice the name...Memory Box...I KNEW it was old when I got it!  You can still purchase it at Simon(the link below)...I think it's beautiful...I love trailing leaves...and these ones have definition, too!  I paired them with the older Memory Box Fancy Blooms (also still available), added a Papertrey Ink sentiment (I used my MISTI...stamping on textured cardstock is sketchy, but with a MISTI, being able to double stamp...perfection!!) and some enamel dots onto Simon Says Stamp woodgrain cardstock...ahhhh...here's a close up...
This card would be great for ALL occasions, just sayin'...thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
