Rain or Shine...

I am loving the new Weather it Together stamp and Weather it Together Confetti Cuts dies by Reverse Confetti.  I have combined some of the stamps and dies from these sets to make a card for Reverse Confetti's July Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT)!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I  not only used the Weather it Together stamps and Confetti Cuts dies, but a die from the Stitched Flag Trio of Confetti Cuts dies!  Hope you will be a part of this month's challenge (there are only a few more days left)...and make sure to check out the Reverse Confetti Blog for all the details...'cause there's a PRIZE for the winner of the challenge:)!!

Flower Favorites...Thinking of You

I FINALLY got the Flower Favorites stamp set by Papertrey Ink!  I had it in my cart at Papertrey Ink, it sold out, it came back in stock, I waited, and it sold out again...and a third time before I FINALLY made a fast move and purchased it (along with a number of other things:)!!).  I saw a card on THIS post using this same flower on a beautiful card by Ardyth and just had to have this flower stamp...it is just beautiful as a stand-alone!!...
This iris is made with 6 or 7 stamps...which is  what "makes" the flower!  SO EASY to make, though, so don't let all the number of stamps intimidate you!  I thought it was so funny...when I originally saw Ardyth's card, I just gazed at her card...I didn't read her post until today...the funny part being that she made her card with her MISTI...I got a MISTI a month ago after watching Laurie Willison use it in the video HERE on the MFT store site...and used it for the first time, today,  ON THIS CARD!!!...too funny!!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this tool!!!  It is great for stamping not only multiple cards, but restamping an image when it doesn't stamp deeply enough on the first stamping without having a stamp-a-ma-jig (and NOT getting it perfect, which is usually what happens to me!!).  I stamped the background stamp to give a little added interest to the card.

Under the Weather?

The Reverse Confetti, Weather It Together stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts dies, are so sweet!!  Today, I used them for a get well/thinking of you card...thought it fun to use the weather elements with the sentiment...literally:)...
I stamped, then die cut the clouds, sun and rainbow.  I colored the sun, used colored paper for the rainbow, and adhered them on striped gray paper...love simplicity!!...
On the inside, I used another of the sentiments which I thought went PERFECTLY for this card:)!!...
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
This are the sets that I used on this card (you can click on the pics to link to them)...

CAS(E) this Sketch 132...Hello

I thought this week's sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch was so cool!  I DID turn my card sideways and made it with a slightly different interpretation when my half cut flower just didn't look right to me.  I made it with the WHOLE flower coming off the panel instead.  Here's my card and the sketch...

I die cut the Memory Box/Poppy Tilth flower and layered. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti, a set of sentiment dies, Fancy Words Confetti Cuts(LOVE these dies...their size and font fit so many cards!!).   I cut some burlap and not only used it for the flower's panel, but embossed it on the card for some subtle texture.  Here's a close up...

Simon Says Stamp Splash of Color Blog Hop + Giveaway

It's Summertime..and Simon Says Stamp has released a new summertime collection of stamps, dies and inks...Splash of Color!!  I am so excited to be a part of the Splash of Color Blog Hop today, celebrating this release with some incredible artists!!
This release is full of fun, sweet stamp and die sets, along with twelve new amazing color inks, all celebrating this fun, colorful time of year!!
I was asked to share the wonderful set of nautical themed stamps, the Sail Away stamp set, with you today!    I especially LOVE the sentiments in this set...simple but very meaningful...my ideas for creating with them were simple in their design, as well!!   I made three cards to share with you...here's my first...
I especially loved this quote by Elizabeth Edwards.  She was wife to a 2008 presidential candidate as she battled breast cancer, which sadly, took her life several years later.  She said she wanted her children and grandchildren to think of and remember her as one who "...stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails"...powerful and profound!  I stamped on wood veneer paper and cut out my sailboat...the sails cut from patterned paper.  There is also a set of  coordinating dies for this set as well as some very cool wave dies in this release that would compliment this set wonderfully...I've linked them below my list of supplies for you to check out!
I love that clear stamps can be "bent", so I bent this quote stamp to mimic waves and sponged some Simon Says Stamp Maliblue ink over it for the water...

The second card, I fussy cut then silver embossed the anchor... several times , pierced a hole in the top and threaded twine through and around the anchor.  I used a Simon heart  die for a pattern, and watercolored the heart on watercolor paper...
Another very cool and wonderful sentiment in the set for this card.  Here's a close up...

I used some distress ink and water brush for a watercolor effect on my third card to go with yet another amazing sentiment!
I used a small Simon heart die to make a pink heart to layer and adhere over the "v" in "love"...just thought it looked cool:)!!  The imperfections in the sentiment make is cool and interesting!   Here's a close up...
Now...for the giveaway!!  Each stop on the hop will receive a Simon says Stamp Prize pack, randomly selected by Simon on JULY 21st, so make sure you leave a comment for a chance to win...leave a comment on each blog and you will have NINE chances to win!!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog on the hop!!  The next stop on the hop is the amazingly talented Kristina Werner!!
