Lila's Heart Cards

As most of you might know, I am not much of a "colorer".  I thought the Simon Says Stamp set, Lila's Heart was so sweet and cute, HAD to try my hand at a little coloring (you CAN color without shading...not a lot of shading in my coloring, but I think that's ok:)!...
I stamped, die cut, then colored the little Lila, then layered.  This is my super clean and simple use of this adorable set...I LOVE the  white space, and this stamp is so long, it can easily be a stand- alone:)!!

The second one is a bit less clean and simple in it's composition...decided to die cut some hills and trees for my kite flying, sideways facing Lila...
I paper pieced her dress in this one, and popped up the scenery with more pop up squares with each layer of green.

Thanks Card Band Die Cards

I made a card with a sentiment die by Frantic Stamper, Thanks Card Band...I just think these cut out sentiment dies are so much fun!!...
I die cut the sentiment with the patterned paper, then masked above and below and sponged black ink on the striped letters, turning them black.   I then used versa mark over the letters and clear embossed....three times for a smooth, thick, glossy look...

Here's another card with the same die, but using a piece of pink velvet paper to cover the letters with...
Hard to see the velvet very well...but great texture:)...
OK...GREAT FUN:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Card Band Cards

I think this Happy Card Band die by Frantic Stamper is SO cute!!... I just love the font of the letters of this "HAPPY" sentiment,  it makes for some easy, fun and I think, cute birthday cards!  I had made another card a couple weeks ago with this die HERE, too...
The papers on all these cards are by Doodlebug, from a value pack of papers I just got!  The green is a floral sheet that has glitter on it.  My daughter's birthday is next week, and she LOVES glitter, so this will be a perfect card for her:)!! I die cut the green glitter paper, then trimmed the letters off the band, and adhered to the patterned paper, then to the die cut card.   Here's a close up...

The second one uses another sheet of the patterned paper, then some scraps of solid textured paper, with the "HAPPY" die cut on the short side of the card...
 Here's a close up...

Rockin' Roller Coaster...and a Partial

When I was a little girl, our family would visit my grandma, who lived about a 100 miles away in the Finger Lakes region of New York.  There was an amusement park near her house in Canadaigua, Roseland, that we would ALWAYS visit when we visited her, and it had a white wooden roller coaster!  When I saw the fun  Rockin' Roller Coaster die from Simon Says Stamp's new The Color of Fun release, that's ALL I could think about...oh the WONDERFUL memories!!  I made the frame white, and the cars out of shiny silver paper, as the cars were and still often are silver:)!!...
I layered the roller coaster twice, as well as the cars and pink heart in the sentiment.  Super simple, but sweet:)!!  Here's a close up...

I then die cut a couple more roller coasters and cut most of the top of the die cut off, to make a border for a card...
I die cut another coaster with black and one with teal card stock, and using my QuickStik, placed the pieces in the empty spaces.
